Details of the class –

Time commitment: 1 hour/week in class plus 15 minutes/day in homework and practice. Total: 2.5 hours per week.

Location/time: Congo house. 15806 Congo Lane, Jersey Village TX 77040. Tuesdays 7:00-8:00PM. Starting Feb 25.

Cost: Just buy the “Books to Buy” (linked at the bottom of this post)

Goal: learn to actually read biblical greek. (I.e. If you stick it out to the end, you should be able to pick up a reader’s greek New Testament and give a rough translation, as well as explain how and why certain translations render it the way they do.) This is NOT just a crash course trying to teach you how to use greek tools like interlinears and greek dictionaries. You’ll learn more greek than most MDiv students.

Length of commitment: we’re going to go 1 chapter per week and there are 33 chapters to cover. So, expect 2 or 3 missed weeks scattered in. We’re looking to wrap up by the end of October.

Who’s invited? ANYONE serious about learning it. This wont be a cake walk, but it’s not as hard as everyone makes it out to be. If you actually dedicate the time listed above that really is all you need.
